Oregon Ditches Proposed Ban on Marijuana-Laced Munchies

I've said it before, this is a slippery slope, and we seem to be gaining speed.
GOP: We're the 'alternative party'
Thu Jan 30, 2014
It's really sad. The republican party is what is needed, but democrats are in control of the country. As it goes, a democracy can only survive 200-250 years, until the people figure out they can vote the treasury to themselves. Think about it.
Biden: I'm undecided, but 'in my heart, I'm confident' I'd be a good president
Wed Jan 29, 2014
I think he knows he's just creating fodder for the late night talk shows. He can't be serious, or he's delusional, which I could certainly see happening.
From the archives: Shovels, not plows, cleared snow off NYC streets

I like seeing the hats of that time. Very stylish generation.
'Selfie' diplomacy: Obama, Cameron pose for picture with Denmark PM
Tue Dec 10, 2013
It's not her look that annoys me, and it's not because he's Obama, or the president. This was done at a memorial for another person, a time of reflection and reverence, for that person. This shows true lack of respect, and is disgraceful, not only on the POTUS, but the others as well.
'I just instantly burst into tears': Medical worker finally gets insurance on Obamacare website
Tue Dec 10, 2013
Insurance aside, I find this interesting. She reports that she makes $23K a year, which works out to almost $9 an hour, and she's doing medical transcriptions, yet we are being bombarded by people working in fast food that feel they deserve $15 an hour.
Carrie Underwood praying for 'Sound of Music' critics
Mon Dec 9, 2013
She truly is a class act, measuring her response like that. I enjoyed the performances, all of them. They made an effort, which is commendable.
What's dark matter? Find out about the new frontiers of physics
Wed Dec 4, 2013
I wish I could make stuff up in my line of work. Dark Matter, meh! What is moving these things apart? Hmmm, let's say Dark Matter. Yet, they deny their Creator.
Why Johnny can't write, and why employers are mad
Mon Nov 11, 2013
Lack of grammar and words being used incorrectly are a way to have your resume discarded immediately. Proper use of this shows intelligence, or so it is thought by the reader. Granted, the intelligent can write poorly, but that is a reflection on their lack of care for the matter to do i …
US to require insurers to cover mental health, addiction same as physical illness
Fri Nov 8, 2013
This is a slippery slope, yet again. It is very difficult to diagnose mental illness, and two doctors sometimes can't agree on the diagnoses. Just saying it's covered is one thing, but who determines what is covered. That's where the line is truly drawn.
